I was born in St. Petersport in Guernsey, Channel Is. UK , but I left there at the age of 4 so I don't remember much about it and I have not been back yet . I went with my family to Grenada in the West Indies and spent
my formative years in SUNSHINE and Tropical paradise, it was heaven.
I really must take this opportunity to thank my father; Richard George Rae not only for surviving his fighting role throughout the whole of WW2
and studying hard to get many degrees. To come from a working class background and become a Director of Public Works in many third world countries, striving to get better education and standards of living for the
Indigenous residents much to the chagrin of the local fatcats, colonialists; and the British Government I hasten to add. Tis no wonder he never appeared on the New Years Honours list. Suffice to say he is still remembered by
many in Grenada, the Bahamas, Yemen, Tunisia, Dubai, Kuwait, the Trucial States, Botswana, Columbia, Turks & Caicos Is., and Thailand. We all miss him very much but I especially honour his memory, after he died
prematurely and my new found aknowlegment and respect of ceremony to ones ancestors.

My education was very mixed, from a girls convent (no, I haven't had a sex change) in kindergarten, to a Boy's Boarding School in Jamaica, and thankfully most of my time in the mixed High School my Dad had built in
Nassau Bahamas. Interestingly, it was in the junior school in Jamaica, aged 10, that I first started to carve things and excel at art, but my parents and teachers did not have the vision , careers had to have a large financial
future or they were just hobbies. I was gently steered in the direction of engineering all the way to a place in Brunel Uni. but at the last minute was reprieved by Sex, Drugs & Rock music. It was as though I had to let go of all
my preconceptions, stripped naked ( sometimes literally ) stoned, broke and worn out from late-night music playing and relationships going pearshaped that I reached the bottom of the pit, but from here there was only one way to go .
up, UP. "Jump up and live again ". It was a beautiful sunny day, when I set out on a walk in the woods and picked up a stone in the stream.
Now it may have been the magic mushrooms or lack of sleep or some other hallucigenic, but I saw the figure of a beautiful woman in that stone and finding a somewhat dodgey carving knife , whittled away for a few days and
amazed myself and all the other dozen people in the "squat" with the sensual figurine released. We were both released that day. As regards my Education, no ! by then I had no desire to go to Art College apart from the georgeous
girls, and as a student of life and reading about esoteric subjects ,expriencing some pretty weird spiritual phenomena and not giving in to the rat race ,I managed to hold on to my dignity , Integrity, self esteem and inspiration. Mind you I
did have to compromise and hold down some pretty grotty jobs to scratch a living; but all the time I was carving and creating these magnificent forms almost to the point of orgasm. I seemed to have had more time then to create
than I have had recently. Now, running a Sculpture & mouldmaking buisness and doing reproductions for a dozen clients to pay the bills and take care of the Children has meant that I've been lucky to finish 2 or 3 new pieces per year.
Well , things are changing. Financially, it's harder and I have to find a new studio but my inspiration has returned with a ferrocity, or is it passion, whatever ! Getting these Websites and more importantly the buisness ones

up and running is lifted me out of what could have been a cold, wet, boring and depressing winter. If only there were more hours in the day. 'Cause, besides all this new work to do, I have to have my Salsa dancing, partying and the occational
night down the pub for a pint and a game of pool with my mates, or maybe doing some serious jammin' with other musicians.

Crumbs, I've been to Cuba again twice since then
and to China in 2005, 2006 and 2007 to set up casting of some of my sculpture in real
HOT BRONZE.
I am due to go back again in 2008.
A follow up visit to get improved Quality to castings, and help with expansion of HOP YING METALS
Plus refresh my palate on good food and catch the SUN.

Nassau Bahamas. Interestingly, it was in the junior school in Jamaica, aged 10, that I first started to carve things and excel at art, but my parents and teachers did not have the vision , careers had to have a large financial
future or they were just hobbies. I was gently steered in the direction of engineering all the way to a place in Brunel Uni. but at the last minute was reprieved by Sex, Drugs & Rock music. It was as though I had to let go of all
my preconceptions, stripped naked ( sometimes literally ) stoned, broke and worn out from late-night music playing and relationships going pearshaped that I reached the bottom of the pit, but from here there was only one way to go .
up, UP. "Jump up and live again ". It was a beautiful sunny day, when I set out on a walk in the woods and picked up a stone in the stream.
Now it may have been the magic mushrooms or lack of sleep or some other hallucigenic, but I saw the figure of a beautiful woman in that stone and finding a somewhat dodgey carving knife , whittled away for a few days and
amazed myself and all the other dozen people in the "squat" with the sensual figurine released. We were both released that day. As regards my Education, no ! by then I had no desire to go to Art College apart from the georgeous
girls, and as a student of life and reading about esoteric subjects ,expriencing some pretty weird spiritual phenomena and not giving in to the rat race ,I managed to hold on to my dignity , Integrity, self esteem and inspiration. Mind you I
did have to compromise and hold down some pretty grotty jobs to scratch a living; but all the time I was carving and creating these magnificent forms almost to the point of orgasm. I seemed to have had more time then to create
than I have had recently. Now, running a Sculpture & mouldmaking buisness and doing reproductions for a dozen clients to pay the bills and take care of the Children has meant that I've been lucky to finish 2 or 3 new pieces per year.
Well , things are changing. Financially, it's harder and I have to find a new studio but my inspiration has returned with a ferrocity, or is it passion, whatever ! Getting these Websites and more importantly the buisness ones

up and running is lifted me out of what could have been a cold, wet, boring and depressing winter. If only there were more hours in the day. 'Cause, besides all this new work to do, I have to have my Salsa dancing, partying and the occational
night down the pub for a pint and a game of pool with my mates, or maybe doing some serious jammin' with other musicians.

Crumbs, I've been to Cuba again twice since then
and to China in 2005, 2006 and 2007 to set up casting of some of my sculpture in real
HOT BRONZE.
I am due to go back again in 2008.
A follow up visit to get improved Quality to castings, and help with expansion of HOP YING METALS
Plus refresh my palate on good food and catch the SUN.

I was born in St. Petersport in Guernsey, Channel Is. UK , but I left there at the age of 4 so I don't remember much about it and I have not been back yet . I went with my family to Grenada in the West Indies and spent my formative years in SUNSHINE and Tropical paradise, it was heaven.
I really must take this opportunity to thank my father; Richard George Rae not only for surviving his fighting role throughout the whole of WW2 and studying hard to get many degrees. To come from a working class background and become a Director of Public Works in many third world countries, striving to get better education and standards of living for the Indigenous residents much to the chagrin of the local fatcats, colonialists; and the British Government I hasten to add. Tis no wonder he never appeared on the New Years Honours list. Suffice to say he is still remembered by many in Grenada, the Bahamas, Yemen, Tunisia, Dubai, Kuwait, the Trucial States, Botswana, Columbia, Turks & Caicos Is., and Thailand. We all miss him very much but I especially honour his memory, after he died prematurely and my new found aknowlegment and respect of ceremony to ones ancestors.
